About this organization
Mission
To strengthen the ecological and economic vitality of Northwest forests and communities by connecting people with the knowledge, skills, and markets they need to steward their land.
About
The Northwest Natural Resource Group helps landowners to practice ecological forestry on their land. Dedicated to promoting a sustainable, environmentally sound economy in the Pacific Northwest, we work primarily on forestlands owned and managed by private landowners, smaller forest product companies, local governments, sovereign Indian nations, and non-profit organizations. Our primary tools to accomplish this mission are forest planning and management services; educational workshops; group certification under the auspices of the Forest Stewardship Council (R) on ownerships totaling 190,000 acres in Oregon and Washington; and expertise in connecting landowners with sources of landowner assistance.
