The Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra has been operating continuously since 1967 training the youth of the Bay Area in the joys and challenges of chamber music. Through playing chamber music together the organization's participants learn many life lessons including how to work together collaboratively, how to communicate respectfully, and how music can bring the joys to people all over the Bay Area and the world. Since its founding forty nine years ago, the organization has fulfilled its mission by touching the lives of approximately 2,000 students including the 121 participants playing in the organization's five orchestras this year.
