THE COLLEGE PREPARES ETHICAL AND EFFECTIVE LEADERS FOR THE MINISTRY AND MARKETPLACE. THIS YEAR THE COLLEGE GRADUATED 18 STUDENTS MOST OF WHO ARE ALREADY PLACED IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.NATURE OF OPERATIONS AND PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:LAST YEAR AT NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS HAD INCREASED OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP THEIR LEADERSHIP QUALITIES AND TALENTS THROUGH THE NEWLY FOUNDED IGNITE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (ILP). STUDENTS IN THIS PROGRAM WERE PRIVILEGED TO TAKE THEIR GOD-GIVEN GIFTS ONTO THE ROAD AS THEY MINISTERED AT DIFFERENT CHURCHES EACH SUNDAY. "THE DOING CHURCH" AS A TEAM OUTREACH WAS ONE SUCH INSTANCE OF THE ILP PROGRAM IN ACTION; MANY OF THE STUDENTS IN THE PROGRAM GOT TO TRAVEL TO NEW HOPE OAHU IN HAWAII FOR AN OUTREACH WHERE THEY LED WORSHIP FOR MULTIPLE CHURCH SERVICES. "CHRISTMAS ON THE HILL" WAS ANOTHER LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE SHOWED UP TO WATCH STUDENTS PERFORM MANY SONGS, SKITS, AND SPOKEN WORD PIECES. OUR ATHLETICS PROGRAM WAS ALSO VERY SUCCESSFUL THIS YEAR. OUR WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM QUALIFIED FOR AND PARTICIPATED IN THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT FOR THE FIRST YEAR IN SCHOOL HISTORY, AND OUR MEN'S BASKETBALL WON THE PACIFIC COAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE.THE ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY OF NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN HOSTED MANY EXCITING EVENTS INCLUDING THE ANNUAL HOEDOWN AT NEW HOPE RANCH AND SENIOR BANQUET TO HONOR OUR SENIORS. THE HOEDOWN WAS A HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEMESTER FOR MANY STUDENTS, FOR THERE WERE MANY FUN GAMES, COMPETITIONS, AND DELICIOUS FOODS PREPARED BY OUR NEW CHEF, MONICA BAXTER. ON MAY 10, 2019 WE GRADUATED TEN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS WITH THEIR BACHELOR'S DEGREES.
