Green Empowerment works with local partners around the world to strengthen communities by delivering renewable energy, clean water, andcomplementary health, environmental, and capacity building projects. Our niche is the intersection of technology solutions, conservation, and community engagement. Since 1997, we have prioritized integrated projects that improve human well-being, address social justice issues, are ecologically and economically sustainable and have the potential for broad impact beyond any one community. In 2018 alone, Green Empowerment projects supported over 35,000 individuals across 57 communities. Together with partners we helped 2,2125 people gain access to electricity through renewable energy at their home or school, 23,250 gain improved health services through renewable energy in health clinics, provided 5,859 people with access to clean water, 2,247 homes received clean cooking technology logged 2,461 service-learning volunteer hours and trained 2,156 members of beneficiary communities.
