PUBLIC POLICY AND ADVOCACY THE ORGANIZATION ADVOCATES FOR AND COORDINATES POLICY EFFORTS THROUGH A RURAL POLICY COUNCIL AND PORTLAND POLICY COUNCIL FOR OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS TO GOVERNMENT AND REGULATORY AGENCIES, COORDINATING ADVOCACY FOR INCREASED FUNDING FOR AND AGAINST POLICIES HARMFUL TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. WE COORDINATE CLOSELY WITH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INDUSTRY PARTNERS INCLUDING THE OREGON HOUSING ALLIANCE. COMMUNICATIONS THE ORGANIZATION GIVES OUR MEMBERS UP-TO-DATE, INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON REGULATIONS AND POLICIES THAT WILL AFFECT THEIR WORK; AS WELL AS, FUNDING AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, NEW RESEARCH, INDUSTRY EVENTS, TRENDS AND STATEWIDE NEWS.
