Provided basic household items such as bedding, cookware, dishes, utensils, and clothing, shoes, and more depending on the circumstances to struggling families and individuals. Program participants are referred by the Dept. of Human Services, the Red Cross, the Dallas Oregon Resource Center, seniors with disabilities, Salem Hospital and others. We provided free bread and produce weekly through our excess food distribution center. We also loaned walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, hospital beds, shower benches, and other miscellaneous medical equipment free of charge to persons referred by hospitals and physicians.
