Heartland provides lost/found services and an adoption program for homeless animals. This year, Heartland served 1,518 animals. 1,206 animals found new, forever homes through our adoption program, 303 pets were returned to their owners, and 9 animals were transferred to local adoption partners. Over 94% of the animals entering our doors were saved. Dogs had a 10 day average length of stay and cats had a 26 day average length of stay. In our clinic, 833 Heartland animals were spayed/neutered and 35 special surgeries were performed. 100 spay/neuter surgeries were performed for other shelters/rescue groups.
