Mission

At Youth Progress we believe that young people in the juvenile justice and foster care systems are leaders, scholars, artists, athletes and entrepreneurs. Together, we are a diverse and inclusive community of staff and foster parents who provide young people with safe and stable housing and opportunities to grow, learn, and succeed.

About

YPA provides services both Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) youth who have acted out their pain in delinquent ways and youth from the Children and Families Department of the Department of Human Services who do not have stable places to live and/or do not have the social abilities to be maintained in their family settings. YPA serves youth from ages 13 to 24. The program includes two residential group homes that shelter 16 OYA youth. In addition, up to 45 youth are housed in treatment foster homes and come to YPAS main site for education and day treatment services. YPA prides itself in working with youth who do not fit into traditional treatment settings and who would otherwise not receive these services. Many of our youth have minor developmental or intellectual challenges and need additional supports and/or skill development to be successful in their transition back to their families or to independent living.
