About this organization
Mission
To provide high quality comprehensive primary and preventive health care services
About
The clinic's mission is to provide care to all, regardless of ability to pay, and to specialize in providing care for the medically underserved, low income, and other disadvantaged populations of Kodiak Island. The clinic strives to improve the overall health of the general population through health education and promotion activities, like the Kodiak Island community-wide biennial community health fair. The clinic's philosophy is to provide accessible, affordable, compassionate, quality care services for Kodiak Island. Our integrated behavioral health program provides daily brief interventions, motivational interviewing strategies and connections to longer-term behavioral health services for KCHC patients. This work is conducted by a LCSW who plays a key provider role on our primary care team. We accept all insurances, including Medicaid. In 2018, the clinic provided medical care to 4,817 patients during 13,687 visits and behavioral health care to 68 patients through 135 visits.
