Title VI program services are administered to the upper Tanana elders residing in Dot Lake, Tanacross, Tetlin, Northway, Eagle, Tok, Minto and Nenana. The Title VI programs provide outreach, information, and referrals, direct client services and advocacy to the elders in these communities. Scheduled visits are made to these communities in order to provide such services along with conducting various surveys and assessments directly related to senior's needs. Workshops on health and welfare assure elders of their entitled benefits. Title VI family care-giver program works in conjunction with the Tanana Chiefs Conference and the Fairbanks Native Association and various other social service agencies in the city of Fairbanks. Workshops are presented along with educational information through Denakkanaaga's quarterly newsletter and pamphlets. An elders resource directory is printed and distributed in collaboration with other elder service organizations.
