About

Providing primary medical treatment to the people of Western Alaska. In 2018, 4,080 patients were seen with 6,576 encounters. One of our activities is head start well-child exams in 20 villages. We provide exams, educational materials, referrals, immunizations, fluoride treatments and couselng on obesity and nutrition as some of our many services. The clinic also has a contract for lower Kuskokwim School District, Lower Yukon School District, and Yupiit School District, through which it provides preventative exams to approximately 2,300 studends in 34 sites in our service area. An expansion adding dental to our scope of programs began in September, 2016. We continue to integrate bevavioral health into our medical practice and will begin integrating dental in June of 2017. Bethel Family Clinic started construction on its new facility with a projected completion date of spring of 2018. BFC also added a full time chemical dependency counselor to its behavioral health department.
