To promote the optimal health, quality of life and independence of people with kidney disease through patient care, education and research. Northwest Kidney Centers delivers more than 275,000 treatments per year in 21 dialysis centers and 9 hospitals in Washington State's King, Pierce, Snohomish and Clallam Counties. It also maintains one of the country's largest training and support programs for people who wish to give themselves dialysis at home. Through our home dialysis training program we provided training for hundreds of patients who give themselves dialysis treatments at home, using either hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.

IN THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018 NORTHWEST KIDNEY CENTERS PROVIDED 276,500 DIALYSIS TREATMENTS, ESSENTIAL TO SUSTAIN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH KIDNEY FAILURE. WE SERVED A TOTAL OF 1,766 PATIENTS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED PATIENT CARE IN 16 FREE-STANDING CLINICS AND IN NINE (9) LOCAL HOSPITALS, AND SUPERVISED SELF-DIALYSIS TREATMENTS IN THE HOMES OF PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. WE SPENT $28 MILLION MORE ON THE CARE OF PATIENTS WITH MEDICARE AND MEDICAID INSURANCE THAN THE PROGRAMS REIMBURSED US FOR. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDED MORE THAN $453,000 IN CHARITY CARE. NORTHWEST KIDNEY CENTERS' RENAL SPECIALTY PHARMACY, A RARITY IN THE NATION, SERVED MORE THAN 1,115 DIALYSIS PATIENTS AND KIDNEY TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS DURING THE YEAR.THE CENTER FOR DIALYSIS INNOVATION RECENTLY LAUNCHED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON WITH A GRANT FROM NORTHWEST KIDNEY CENTERS FOR $15 MILLION OVER FIVE YEARS. THE MISSION IS TO REVOLUTIONIZE DIALYSIS TECHNOLOGY.
