Since its inception, the foundation has taken an active role to expand and enhance the Seahawks' ability to raise and distribute funds for charitable purposes in the Pacific Northwest. The foundation makes grants and contributions to public charities that serve the needs of children in the community. The foundation makes these grants and contributions to Pacific Northwest charities qualified for tax exemption under IRC section 501(c)(3) and qualified as public charities under IRC sections 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2).
