About

CULTURAL ENRICHMENT: The Cultural Enrichment program is both "in school" and summer programs for 12-14 year old girls*. The in school program is a space for girls to learn about themselves, increase pride in their identity and furthermore learn how to navigate the world around them. The curriculum is delivered through group and individual sessions of up to no more than 15 girls. The program was offered in two Seattle Public middle schools, reaching 20 girls. The summer Post It Up program (in collaboration with the Employment Program) was a space where girls exercised their creativity and used art to create social justice change, involving 20 girls. We served additional girls through our partnership with other community organizations such as Atlantic Street Center. The Cultural Enrichment program served 73 girls in 2019. *those who identify and socialize as a girl
