Mission
Api Chaya supports Asian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander survivors and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as human trafficking survivors from all communities. Api Chaya engages communities to change societal conditions that enable domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking and all forms of oppression, especially violence against women and the most vulnerable in our society.
About
Api Chaya provides advocacy-based counseling, support groups, safe housing alternatives, helpline, crisis intervention, legal advocacy and a resource referral for survivors of gender-based violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. In 2018, Api Chaya provided case management and client assistance to 785 survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and their children. We continue to be part of the coalition ending gender-based violence, Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, King County's Crime Victim Service Center, Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network and the Freedom Network.
