Economic development: Rainier Health and Fitness had unique visits from individuals increase from 300 per month in 2012 while in the modular to more than 950 per month in the new building in 2019. Enhanced group training, personal training, and cross fit programming has increased gym utilization to above industry average. Urban Impact's business accelerator and sharks at the beach programs are designed to build social capital, knowledge capital, and financial capital, resulting in empowerment and sustainability, positioning entrepreneurs for long term growth. Urban Impact launched its first business accelerator cohort enrolling 12 small business owners, and hosted the 6th annual sharks at the beach entrepreneurship program. Six entrepreneurs participated and over 200 community members attended the culminating pitch competition.
