Mission

ACRS promotes social justice and the well-being and empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities – including immigrants, refugees, and American-born – by developing, providing and advocating for innovative, effective and efficient community-based multilingual and multicultural services.

About

The behavioral health (BH) program serves 2,408 individuals affected by mental, emotional, and behavioral problems. The BH program combines eastern and western approaches to offer a comprehensive array of specialized services to individuals and families with a team of trained mental health case managers, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurses that speak more than a dozen different Asian and Pacific Islander languages and dialects. BH staff assist individuals to develop and regain the skills and independence to live meaningful lives in their communities. BH staff also provide domestic violence batterer's treatment with emphasis on Asian Pacific American (APA) adults. Treatment focuses on ending the batterer's physical, sexual, and/or psychological abuse.
