About this organization
Mission
United Way of Snohomish County is a funder, partner, convener, and catalyst for positive, lasting community change. Founded in Everett in 1940, our local United Way reflects the community it serves, and we are entering the complex conversation around poverty in a more focused way. We are the only organization in Snohomish County funding multiple cross-sector collaboratives—groups of community partners with a shared action plan—working together on long-term outcomes for children birth to age 8 and their families struggling with low income. By focusing on the well-being of both the child and the adults in their lives together, we are creating long-term solutions by dismantling systems and unlocking access to family success.
