About this organization
Mission
Our goal is for every student, family, and teacher to feel welcome and supported at San Miguel. As a PTA, we are about community, enrichment, advocacy and volunteering.
About
San Miguel School is a great place to learn and grow. Our students have a well-rounded experience that includes Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies but also extends into drama, dance, music, and visual arts. Our students are also working on becoming 21st-century learners. With our common core standards adoption, we are also working on deepening student understanding and knowledge past rote memorization. The main role of the local PTA is to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers and schools, in support of students. This can include recruiting and coordinating volunteers, providing special recognition in awards ceremonies or through other activities, organizing parent education events, planning teacher appreciation activities and much more.
