About

Rabbi Dovid Fordsham, originally from Toronto Canada, graduated Ner Yisrael of Toronto and then attended the Mesivta of Long beach/Rabbinical college of Long Island. While there, he developed a close relationship with the Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Yitzchok Feigelstock. He subsequently studied at Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim and upon his return to the United States settled in Lakewood and continued to advance in his studies at Beth Medrash Govoha. It is there he met his wife, Sara Rivka where they began to raise their family. In 2003 the Fordshams were invited to join the prestigious Lawrence/Far Rockaway Kollel under the leadership of Rabbi Leibel Rand. While in the Kollel, Rabbi Fordsham gave shiurim on a regular basis and frequently had opportunities to be involved in other community services. In 2010 Rabbi Fordsham accepted the position on Magid Shiur at Mesivta Shaarei Chaim where he continues to teach. In 2014 Rabbi Fordsham joined the young congregation of Bais Medrash of Lawrence which has since grown into a beautiful kehillah comprised of exceptional families respected for their shared religious aspirations and sense of communal responsibility.
