Southern Resident Killer Whale (SRKW) Conservation: Oceans Initiative engaged with the state of Washington's SRKW task force. Oceans Initiative was asked to participate in the vessels working group as part of this task force. Oceans Initiative conducted original research to inform the conservation and recovery of SRKWs, built capacity among research and NGO groups engaged in this issue, and communicated and interpreted our science and the science of other researchers to managers to help guide and inform SRKW conservation and recovery.
