STUDENTS WILL BE EDUCATED IN A SCHOOL COMMUNITY THAT FOSTERS HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR BOTH ACHIEVEMENT AND CONDUCT AND FACILITATES CLEAR CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE CURRICULUM, THE COMMUNITY AND THE WORLD.

THE BARACK OBAMA GREEN CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL WAS ESTABLISHED AS A HIGH ACHIEVING SCIENCE-BASED HIGH SCHOOL IN PLAINFIELD, NEW JERSEY. DURING THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR, THE CHARTER SCHOOL PROVIDED A FULL RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO STUDENTS IN GRADES 9 THROUGH 12. THE CHARTER SCHOOL WAS AUTHORIZED TO ENROLL UP TO 240 STUDENTS FOR GRADES 9-12. THE CHARTER SCHOOL COMPLETED THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR WITH AN AVERAGE DAILY ENROLLMENT OF 230 STUDENTS, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 2% LOWER THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR, WHICH HAD AN AVERAGE DAILY ENROLLMENT OF 235 STUDENTS.AS A COLLEGE-PREPARATORY SCHOOL, BARACK OBAMA GREEN CHARTER HIGH SCHOOLS MISSION IS FOUNDED ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT STUDENTS HAVE OWNERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES AND FOR THEIR FUTURE.
