INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS UCCD HOSTS INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS, ADMINISTERED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE, BUREAU OF EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS. THESE EXCHANGE PROGRAMS ARE OUR NATION'S MOST IMPORTANT AND RESPECTED PUBLIC DIPLOMACY INITIATIVES. EMERGING LEADERS ARE INVITED BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO TRAVEL TO UTAH AND OTHER STATES TO MEET WITH PROFESSIONALS, BUSINESSES, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND ORGANIZATIONS PERFORMING SIMILAR OR COMPLEMENTARY WORK TO THE WORK BEING PERFORMED IN THEIR COUNTRIES, AS WELL AS, THEY EXPERIENCE AMERICAN LIFE THROUGH CULTURAL ACTIVITIES. ALUMNI OF THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE OVER 60 ACTING HEADS OF STATE. UTAH COUNCIL FOR CITIZEN DIPLOMACY IS ONE OF 86 NON-PARTISAN, NON-PROFITS AUTHORIZED TO ADMINISTERED THIS PROGRAM NATIONALLY, AND IS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION DOING SUCH WORK IN UTAH. IN 2019, WE WELCOMED NEARLY 400 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.
