The Homeownership Council of America's mission is to expand economic opportunity for underserved communities through homeownership. We do this by advancing growth in mortgage-lending activity through Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) and preparatory services through HUD-Approved housing counseling agencies. We partner with industry leaders to leverage their capital with local nonprofit capacity, promoting community investments and access to credit. (CLIMB) Community Lending Initiatives in Mortgage Banking is a technical assistance and capacity building service to with CDFIs and HUD approved housing counseling organizations that work in homeownership services for low income populations and other underserved communities.
