Bridge Forward Fund is an economic mobility fund designed to help individuals and families experiencing financial hardship with multi-year grants to support their journey towards stability and wealth building.
About
We seek to change mindsets in philanthropy by investing directly in those most affected by financial hardship, centering the perspectives of marginalized communities, and breaking down barriers to access. Our goals for our grantees include long-term financial wellbeing, asset-building, and self-determination. We work in partnership with community organizations to connect grantees with resources and mentorship so they can take ownership over their own financial security. The concept for Bridge Forward Fund came from three women of different religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds who had the shared purpose of getting financial support to individuals, families and nonprofits who need it most, specifically those who lack access to resources and are most affected by the wealth gap. Our aim is to get support to grantees as quickly and easily as possible, in a relational way that is centered on trust-based philanthropy principles.
