In 2018, for the first time in Tucson Wildlife Center's 20-year history, the nonprofit hired two full-time veterinarians to work on-site in our state-of-the-art hospital. In addition, twc secured grant monies that allowed the center to purchase new medical equipment, including exam lights, an ultrasound machine, a pulse oximeter, surgical tables and a cardio tech patient monitor, in addition to wildlife release pens and a 4-wheel-drive suv for use in rescues and releases. In 2018, twc cared for nearly 3,000 wild animals.
