MentorKids USA equips and empowers youth in under-served communities in the Phoenix area to become transformative leaders in their lives, their families and their communities, allowing those youth to reach their full potential. We offer support in academics, leadership development, spiritual development, and life skills. In order to help kids, you also have to work with the community around them. Promise Neighborhoods bring together youth, families, mentors, volunteers, churches, local businesses and other partners in under-served communities with the purpose of creating long-term solutions to the challenges facing our youth.

YOUTH PROGRAMS INVOLVED 155 CHILDREN IN GRADES K - 12 WITH A FOCUS ON ACADEMIC SUCCESS, SPIRITUAL GROWTH, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND POST-SECONDARY PLANNING. KEY RESULTS: 94% OF K - 8 GRADE STUDENTS ARE READING AT GRADE-LEVEL; 80% OF CHILDREN DEMONSTRATED MEASURABLE GROWTH IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF KEY LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES; YOUTH DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS INVOLVING 650 COMMUNITY RESIDENTS; 100% OF SUMMER ENRICHMENT PARTICIPANTS EITHER MAINTAINED OR IMPROVED THEIR READING LEVEL OVER THE SUMMER OF 2018.FROM APRIL 2017 - MARCH 2018, 2000 VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DEVOTED TO THIS PROGRAM.
