TO ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION: CULTIVATING HEALTHY FOUNDATIONS FOR YOUTH: AZYP OFFERS EVIDENCE-BASED RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION TO 6,251 YOUTH , AFTERSCHOOL TO 168 YOUTH, WAKE UP PROGRAM FOR 180 YOUTH, AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS FOR 275 YOUTH THAT EQUIP YOUTH TO FOCUS ON LIFE SUCCESS GOALS. AZYP INTEGRATED STARTING OUT RIGHT PROGRAM FOR PREGNANT AND PARENTING YOUTH AND ENROLLED 57 YOUTH FROM THE INTERGRATION DATE OF JANUARY 1, 2019 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2019. AZYP SERVED 14 SCHOOL DISTRICTS ACROSS NINE COUNTIES IN ARIZONA AND SERVED OVER 6,000 YOUTH THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS. AZYP ALSO SERVED 74 YOUTH IN OUR SHELTERS (KINGMAN, BULLHEAD CITY, PRESCOTT VALLEY) WHICH SERVES HOMELESS AND RUNAWAY YOUTH. PROMOTING STRONG FAMILIES: AZYP FAMILY PROGRAMS OFFER PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE, STRATEGIES AND TOOLS TO BUILD AND SUSTAIN HEALTHY MARRIAGES, PARENTING, AND ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY. THIS PAST YEAR, 150 FAMILIES ACROSS ARIZONA COMPLETED An 8-WEEK, STRENGTHENING FAMILIES PARENT & FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT FOCUSES ON BUILDING FAMILY COMMUNICATION; 107 PARENTS LEARNED EFFECTIVE PARENTING SKILLS IN GILA COUNTY. MOBILIZING COMMUNITIES THROUGH COALITIONS: AZYP ASSISTS 11 COMMUNITY COALITIONS WITH RESOURCES THAT FACILITATE COMMUNITY-WIDE CHANGE FOCUSED ON PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND UNDERAGE DRINKING. 400 COMMUNITIY MEMBERS RECEIVED RX360 EDUCATION ABOUT PRESCRIPTION DRUG USE, AND 1,328 YOUTH ATTEND TEEN MAZES TO LEARN THE CONSEQUENCES OF UNDERAGE DRINKING. 300 COMMUNITY MEMBERS WERE TRAINED IN YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID.
