Old Town Mission Day Resource Center: The organization operations a resource center located at 116 East Pinal Street Cottonwood, Arizona 86326. Programs offered at the resource center are as follows:Lunch Program:A free Community Lunch is served Wednesday and Friday at noon. Everyone is welcome to join us. On Saturday and Sunday sack lunches are available at Goodwill on Mingus Ave. for those without a residence.Food Pantry:Guests can receive one food box a week per household. They may choose items based on their personal preferences. Our food pantry is stocked with items such as canned foods, pastas, rice, breakfast items, breads, desserts, frozen foods, meats, poultry, fish and fresh produce.Food Pantry Hours Monday & Thursday 9:00am to 2:00pmEmergency Food Assistance (TEFAP) Boxes:The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a federal program that helps supplement households with low incomes by providing an additional food resource. The food boxes contain non-perishable items such as canned fruits/vegetables/meats, rice, pastas, beans, cereal and juice. They provide emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. The Old Town Mission facilitates this program. Distributions are the first week of each month during our normal food pantry hours until supplies are gone.Homeless Resources:There are those in our community that are without a residence temporarily due to many different circumstances. We offer showers Monday and Thursday from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.Hair Cuts:We have a mini salon at the mission designed specifically for haircuts.A licensed stylist is onsite twice a month and provides haircuts free of charge for our clients. No appointment is necessary. However, please call for the schedule because the times and dates vary each month.Vision Clinic:Vision Clinic is offered and operated through the Lions Club. This takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at 10am. They offer free vision exams and low cost eyeglasses. A short application is required and can be picked up at the Old Town Mission during regular business hours.Free Legal Consultation:Legal professionals offer free consultation concerning a variety of legal matters. There is no appointment needed.Clinics are held:4th Tuesday of the month at the Old Town Mission in Cottonwood.Grocery Rescue Program:A Mission employee is out & about during the week working tirelessly to gather the food that has been donated by local stores and restaurants, much of which is overstock or near expiration, thereby stocking our food pantry with these items.
