Robert Louis Stevenson Museum/Foundation The mission objective of the R.L.S. Museum/Foundation Inc. has changed very little since it was conceived and implemented in the early 1990's. At the time, the goal of honoring Robert Louis Stevenson by keeping his memory alive in Samoa seemed altruistic and academic. As the years have passed, the impact of the R.L.S. Museum has been felt, documented, appreciated and lauded in and out of Samoa. The educational, historical and preservational goals continue at the forefront of the foundation's existence. The restoration and maintenance of the building and furnishings, the beautiful grounds and environment, and the extensive collection of Stevensoniana are evidence of the on-going commitment of the foundation and museum management and staff. The ideas and dreams of the foundation are being met.
