THIS IDENTIFICATION OF ENGAGED STAKEHOLDERS SPEAKS THE DEPTH OF OUR TALENT POOL, HIGHLIGHTS BUSINESS INTEREST, AND THE STRENGTH OF COLLABORATION. THERE ARE 737 REGISTERED ARTICIPANTS TO DATE. ITS CONNECTIVE DATABASE IS SELF-POPULATED BY ARTS AND CULTURE STAKEHOLDERS AND POWERS THE DIRECTORY, CALENDAR AND MAP THAT CONNECTS RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO ARTS AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCES, DINING, RETAIL AND MORE. WORKSHOPS FOR ARTICIPANTS ARE HELD ON A REGULAR BASIS, GUIDING THEIR PROMOTION OF WORKS, EXHIBITIONS, ETC.*ARTISTSAZ.COM ARTIST DIRECTORY: A PUG-POWERED DIRECTORY OF ACTIVE, WORKING ARIZONA ARTISTS. THE SAME CONNECTIVE DATABASE THAT POWERS PUG'S CALENDAR AND MAP IS USED TO DEVELOP AN INCLUSIVE ARTIST DIRECTORY.*MIXED MEDIA HAPPY HOURS: EVENTS DESIGNED TO ENGAGE AND BUILD COLLABORATION AMONG THE ARTISTS AND THE ENTIRE CREATIVE COMMUNITY. ARTLINK HOSTED 500 GUESTS OVER A SERIES OF FIVE MIXED MEDIA EVENTS.3) DEVELOP*ARTLINK ARTIST COUNCIL (AAC): A GROUP COMPRISED OF ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS WHO STRIVE TO ELEVATE THE PROFILE OF PHOENIX'S CREATIVE COMMUNITY. THE AAC COLLABORATES ON A SHOWCASE EXHIBITION AT THE ART D'CORE GALA, ON THE ARTIST FORWARD FUND (TAFF), AND ALSO GUIDES THE ARTLINK BOARD ON ARTIST-RELATED INITIATIVES.*THE ARTIST FORWARD FUND (TAFF): AN ARTIST FUND DEVELOPED IN COLLABORATION WITH THE AAC THAT PROVIDES DIRECT FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ARTISTS VIA MINI-GRANTS, AS WELL AS EXHIBITION FACILITATION AND MENTORSHIP. A $1000 GRANT WAS AWARDED WITH A SOLO EXHIBITION PRODUCED.*CREATIVE CITY SYMPOSIUM SERIES: LAUNCHED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PHOENIX COMMUNITY ALLIANCE, A SERIES OF INFORMATIVE DISCUSSIONS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, ELEVATE AND ENGAGE.*CURATORIAL PROGRAM: ARTLINK'S CURATORIAL PROGRAM SERVES RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARTNERS WHO ARE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING AND INCORPORATING ART INTO THEIR BUSINESSES, BUILDINGS AND PUBLIC SPACES. ARTLINK REGULARLY POSTS AND FACILITATES OPEN CALLS TO ARTISTS. THESE OBJECTIVE AND INCLUSIVE CALLS SERVE AS A CONDUIT FOR PARTNERS TO BE INTRODUCED TO ARTISTS FROM THROUGHOUT ARIZONA WHILE PROVIDING ARTISTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMISSION WORK. ARTLINK ALSO WORKS WITH PARTNERS TO DEVELOP CUSTOM ART PROGRAMS THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF BOTH THE ARTISTS AND THE PARTNERING ENTITY. ARTLINK PROMOTED 15 CALLS TO ARTISTS IN 2019-2020, RESULTING IN OVER $150,000 OF ARTIST COMMISSIONS.4) PROMOTE*PHXFRIDAYS: ARTLINK PROVIDES THE OFFICIAL ONLINE AND PRINTED MAP AND TRANSPORTATION TO DOWNTOWN ARTS DISTRICTS FOR PHOENIX'S FAMED FIRST FRIDAYS AND PROVIDES ONGOING PROMOTION OF OPENINGS/EXHIBITIONS FOR THIRD FRIDAY, "GALLERY NIGHT." THE FIRST FRIDAY EVENT SEES ANYWHERE FROM 14-20,000 VISITORS, MAKING IT ONE OF THE LARGEST ART WALKS IN THE UNITED STATES. IT IS HOSTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DOWNTOWN PHOENIX ARTS DISTRICTS INCLUDING ROOSEVELT ROW, HISTORIC GRAND AVENUE, DOWNTOWN CORE, CENTRAL ARTS, AND THE PHOENIX WAREHOUSE DISTRICT.*ART DETOUR/ART D'CORE GALA : PHOENIX'S ORIGINAL ART WALK EVENT FEATURING SELF-GUIDED TOURS, OPEN STUDIOS AND GALLERIES, "MEET THE ARTIST" TALKS AND DEMONSTRATIONS, STREET ART, POP-UP GALLERIES, HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES, A VARIETY OF PERFORMANCES, AND INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES. IN 2019, NEARLY 90 VENUES PARTICIPATED, AN ESTIMATED 150 ARTISTS, 5,000 ATTENDEES, AND OVER 500 GUESTS OF THE ART D'CORE GALA, THE OPENING NIGHT CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS COMMUNITY'S CONTRIBUTION TO OUR CITY.*JURIED EXHIBITION: ONE OF THE LARGEST GROUP EXHIBITIONS HELD IN ARIZONA, THE ARTLINK ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION IS COMPRISED OF A MULTI-MEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA THAT INCLUDES PAINTING, PHOTOGRAPHY, SCULPTURE, PERFORMANCE ART AND FASHION DESIGN. JURIED BY A PANEL OF PRESTIGIOUS MEMBERS FROM THE ARIZONA ARTS COMMUNITY, THIS EXHIBITION CREATES A DYNAMIC SURVEY OF CONTEMPORARY FORMS OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION FROM ACROSS THE STATE. EACH YEAR THREE OUTSTANDING ARTISTS RECEIVE CASH AWARDS AS PART OF THE JURIED PROCESS WHICH IS FUNDED BY ARTLINK. THE FIRST-PLACE AWARD WINNER WILL RECEIVE $5,000, THE RUNNER-UP WILL RECEIVE $1,500, AND THE SECOND RUNNER-UP WILL RECEIVE $750.

  • Artlink inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects artists with the community, facilitates access to vibrant, high-quality arts and cultural activities, and emphasizes the role of the arts in an enhanced quality of life. at the core of artlink's programming are events, initiatives and activities that support the arts and culture community.artlink promotes the monthly "first fridays and "third fridays" art walks, which have grown to become one of the largest monthly art walks in the united states. with many venues open free to the public each month, first fridays has succeeded in bringing people back to downtown phoenix. the event sees anywhere from 14 to 20,000 visitors monthly and grows each year. the monthly event is one of the most successful artwalks in the nation and hosted in partnership with downtown phoenix arts districts roosevelt row, historic grand avenue, phoenix warehouse, central arts and downtown phoenix inc.other public events include the annual art detour, art d'core gala, the juried exhibition, creative city symposium series, and mixed media happy hours which engage and build collaboration among the artists and creative community.
