Since 1977, the Pima Community College Foundation has assisted Pima Community College in responding to the diverse needs of the people of Pima County, Arizona. Philanthropic contributions secured by the foundation for the benefit of the college support student scholarships, program enhancements and capital improvements, which in turn maximize the college's potential for providing access, success and excellence in the educational, social, and cultural development of our citizens. During the year ended June 30, 2019, the foundation celebrated the following achievements: #1: Strengthened relationship with scholarships office to ensure students have the greatest opportunity to apply for foundation-managed scholarships. #2: Hired consultants to assist with: 1) planned and major gifts; 2) accounting; 3) alumni engagement. #3: Established several new scholarships (both endowed and general), programs and athletics funds to support Pima Community College. #4: Employees attended professional development conferences to enhance ability to deliver outcomes to donors and college colleagues. #5: Staff undertook a systematic review of operational activities and implemented policies and procedures to simplify processes.
