Founded in 1996, Keshet's mission is "to inspire and unite community by fostering unlimited possibilities through dance, mentorship and a creative space for the arts." A defined philosophy of mentorship and social responsibility is integrated into all programming. Any person regardless of ability, income or personal barriers should have access to dance. Therefore, Keshet allows every person who wishes to participate to become a part of its dynamic and diverse dance community. Keshet values inclusion, excellence, personal growth, authenticity, fluidity & opportunity. Keshet opened Keshet Center for the Arts in August 2013. KCA is home to Keshet's dance education programming and the Keshet Ideas & Innovation Community (KIIC), a business incubator & resource center for arts entrepreneurs.

UNITING THE ARTS, THE ARTIST AND THE AUDIENCE, KESHET INVITES INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ENGAGE, EXPERIENCE, AND BE INSPIRED THROUGH BOLD EXPLORATIONS OF MOVEMENT AND CELEBRATIONS OF COMMUITY. WHILE BASED IN ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, KESHET ACTIVELY PROVIDES PROGRAMMING THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO AND TOURS AND CONDUCTS RESIDENCIES REGIONALLY AND GLOBALLY. KESHET'S PHILOSOPHY IS THAT DANCE OPENS DOORS, AND ACCESS TO THESE DOORS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ALL, REGARDLESS OF SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, SITUATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS.
