About

The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation is deeply committed to providing increased funding to meet the growing and changing needs of the Denver Public Library. Grants from DPLFF to the library in 2018 provided funds to purchase books and materials for a broad spectrum of community interests. Funds were also used to purchase books and materials for the Western History and Genealogy Department, and to provide support for archival activities, the preservation of rare books and photo digitization. Foundation grants supported programs that foster a life-long love of reading in children including "Summer of Reading and "Read Aloud." Funds were also used for programs supporting new immigrants and refugees, including citizenship classes and targeted programs to improve English language skills.
