Mission

To be a force in our community in creating social change, community partnership while developing our strong family values.

About

It was in the summer of 2016 when a couple of friends decided to get together to have some fun while playing the most iconic table game of the Dominican Republic, Dominoes. This group of friends would rotate among their homes simply to spend some time talking, laughing, and enjoying a good game of Dominoes. Through each reunion, the friendship, the brotherhood amongst the members of the group became stronger. Slowly what started as a casual night of Dominoes, music, and a good time was transforming into something more meaningful. Now the casual reunions were not only about Dominoes, now each game was full of desires, hopes, and dreams. Suddenly, every game night was filled with questions such as, what can we do as a group for our community? Should we create a formal Dominoes Club? What would we be able to do if we get together for something more meaningful? Each member of the group had the desire to do something positive for the community. Slowly the idea of creating a Dominoes Club was growing, but this idea went beyond just playing the iconic game. This group of friends wanted to merge their love for the game of Dominoes with their call to help the community and get involved in different types of social causes. That was how in June 2016 the Bergenfield Dominoes Club was created. In December 2019 the BDC was registered as a non-profit organization with the main purpose of playing the game that brought these men together and help build a better community through the participation and contribution to different social causes. The Bergenfield Dominoes Club was created based on 4 Pillars and Values: God First, Family, Brotherhood, and Community.
