Tales of the Cocktail: Tales of the Cocktail New Orleans is the foundation's annual programming event. This annual conference began 17 years ago in order to educate the global cocktail community. During the 5 days of the conference there are 68 seminars which are produced by the foundation and executed by our cocktail apprentice program (CAP). This mentorship program gives talented bartenders the opportunity to apprentice with skilled professionals thereby developing skills and experience. The CAP program is a core piece to Tales New Orleans. Beyond the bar activations during Tales provide education to support the whole bartender, physically and mentally. Tales on Tour is an annual initiative that partners the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation with a domestic or international host city to further our mission to educate, advance, and support on a global scale. This fundraising event takes Tales New Orleans to burgeoning cocktail markets and raises the profile of professionals and cocktail culture of those cities. It includes 2 days of educational seminars produced by the cocktail apprentice program leadership and six to eight local bartenders selected through a competitive process.
