We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run positive youth development program which combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Lessons provide girls with the tools to make positive decisions and to avoid risky adolescent behaviors. We partner with local schools to reach 3rd through 5th grade girls with an interactive 10-week program that develops qualities within them to become strong, content, healthy, confident young women.

Girls on the Run of Puget Sound serves 2,500 girls, third through eighth grade on 187 teams at various schools and communities throughout King County. 75% of our funds go directly to our program which is possible due to the annual support of thousands of volunteers who administer our program, mentor participants to complete the 5k 'graduation' event and serve on various committees and the board of directors.
