About

General Support and Early Childhood Education- Cultivando works in partnership with Spanish-speaking "family, friends and neighbors" (FFN) in-home childcare providers, who make up the majority of childcare providers in south Adams county. There are approximately 37,000 preschool-aged children in Adams county, but only 7,000 licensed childcare spots, meaning that the majority of children are being cared for by FFN providers, most of which do not have access to state licensing, but who are eager to develop their skills and careers and who care deeply about the children in their care and their health and educational outcomes. Cultivando trains and supports Latino community leaders in the Promotora Model around leadership, collaboration, and effective advocacy towards local systems change and health equity.
