Mission

OUR PROMISE: A LEGACY OF PERMANENT LAND PROTECTION AND MEANINGFUL CONNECTION TO THE LANDS WE LOVE. We envision a region where the rich qualities of the landscape and surrounding foothills, sage prairies, farms and ranches, canyons and waterways endure forever. Wildlife habitats are protected and restored when needed. Residents and visitors can always enjoy a hike or mountain bike ride, or walk in permanently conserved open spaces. Our deep-rooted farm and ranch heritage is thriving supporting locally sourced food, drink and seeds. Folks of all ages, especially our youth, are actively engaged in land restoration and stewardship projects throughout the valley.

About

WE ARE A NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO BALANCING GROWTH & LAND PROTECTION. For over 25 years, we have worked to conserve the Treasure Valley’s open spaces. We work with landowners, developers, government agencies and citizens to protect our surrounding lands for generations to come. The population of the Treasure Valley is expected to reach 1.1 million by 2050. Working farms and ranches will decline—and wildlife habitats and watersheds will face tremendous pressure. Housing is important, but so is preservation. Land Trust of the Treasure Valley exists to: Protect wildlife habitats and waterways Increase conservation of private and public lands Mitigate the effects of climate change, preventing irrevocable damage Educate the community and foster a lasting culture of conservation
