About

The Boulder Chorale brings together over 200 singers from age 6 to 93 to learn and perform music from diverse cultures and musical traditions. In our 2018-19 season, our six choirs performed 19 free and ticketed performances throughout Boulder County reaching thousands of audience members. Our Concert Chorale performed music from Cuba with featured soloist Suzanne Morales, New Orleans and Dixieland jazz with Guerilla Fanfare, and Dvorak's Stabat Mater in collaboration with the Boulder Symphony Orchestra. The Chamber Chorale performed Handel's Messiah with Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, and an inspiring concert with the Colorado premiere of El Camino de las Misiones by James Syler at Longmont Museum's Stewart Auditorium. Our Children's Chorale celebrated its Tenth Anniversary with the premiere of Kevin Padworski's "The Seedling", composed in part through collaboration with our young singers at their October workshop, as well as special performances of the Nutcracker with The Boulder Philharmonic and Boulder Ballet, and holiday concerts at the Boulder Public Library. The Chorale provides scholarships to singers of all ages to support its belief that no one should be denied the ability to learn and perform music because of financial need.
