From its Rocky Mountain roots, Creede Repertory Theatre serves as an artistic home to our rural community and beyond, through the creation of repertory seasons, dynamic educational programs, and compelling new works.

About

Creede Repertory Theatre is a cultural home for artists, residents, and visitors of the West. With a commitment to producing the best of contemporary and classic theatre in rotating repertory from May through September, providing engaging and meaningful theatre experiences and education for children throughout the desert southwest, and a dedication to supporting new plays, CRT successfully raises the standards of practice and makes the performing arts more accessible to the public. In 2018, CRT produced 8 plays, offered 125 performances, and reached an audience in excess of 21,000 people. In addition, CRT commissions, develops, and produces new plays through the Headwaters New Play Program. In 2018, CRT developed 2 new plays through a workshop process and premiered 2 new plays. CRT's education programs help to promote a greater understanding of the performing arts through day camps, theatre for young audiences, and community outreach efforts. In 2018, CRT's youth audience outreach tour reached more than 35,000 students in schools spread across 8 states of the desert southwest.
