Donations to organizations are distributed as soon as the donation is approved and the funds are available. About this organization
Mission
We disrupt cycles of poverty by providing income-sensitive transitional housing. We live alongside young men, building financial literacy, vocational opportunities, healthy community life, and holistic development that cultivates dignity and empowers self-sufficiency.
About
Our flagship program is a holistic, community-centered transitional housing program for young men (age 18-35) experiencing homelessness. We aim to disrupt cycles of poverty by cultivating a restorative space that empowers our residents towards self-sufficiency through dignity, mutuality, and hard work. Our approach is to live alongside young men in quality housing for 4-12 months. While with us residents - pursue full-time employment - share meals together - attend 2 weekly 1-on-1 meetings to further their career and financial goals - divide any income into thirds (1/3 rent (capped at $400/mo), 1/3 savings, 1/3 spending) - receive mental health care from a partner organization - participate in shopping, cleaning, and decision-making in the house
