About this organization
Mission
Latinas in Tech is a non-profit organization with the aim to create a tech industry where Latinas are well-represented throughout all levels of the ecosystem by empowering them to be innovators and leaders. Our mission is to provide the resources, opportunities, and community Latinas need to thrive, innovate and lead in tech.
About
The group began in Silicon Valley in 2014 and has since then expanded to a large number of cities around the world. Latinas in Tech covers the full tech ecosystem. We are engineers, cybersecurity experts, data scientists, business development leaders, public relations professionals, sales professionals, journalists, bloggers, entrepreneurs, investors, marketing professionals, recruiters, and everything surrounding the tech ecosystem. Although we do not deny the diversity and inclusion problem that we face now, our focus is on the opportunities that we, as individuals, can tackle to grow and take a seat at the decision-making table. We work hand in hand with top technology companies to create safe spaces for learning, mentorship, and recruitment. We are focused on empowering and connecting Latinas through three key pillars: Professional Development: We want to help Latinas grow in their careers through hands-on training and leadership workshops. Recruiting: We want to connect our Latina members with job opportunities within tech companies while serving as the bridge for tech companies that want to diversify their talent. Mentorship: We want to connect Latinas with mentors that can guide and help them grow throughout their professional careers.
