United Way of Laramie County directs funding and resources to ensure that children in our community achieve their full potential. We provide grants to programs in our community to ensure that the children have a positive and involved family and community structure; access to a variety of activities that provide quality education, a positive learning environment, and assistance in developing life skills; and that they are productive, engaged, and avoidant of risky behaviors. In 2018, 514 children participated in a leadership program through after school programming, 210 increased their school attendance through after school programming and 118 pre-school age children demonstrated gains in school readiness.
