Walter Knox Memorial Hospital is a 16-bed critical access hospital that offers acute care, emergency care, general surgery, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, obstetrics, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, visiting specialty provider clinics, and a variety of outpatient services. Emergency services are offered regardless of the patient's ability to pay. The facility provided 898 days of patient services which includes 58 nursery days. The facility also provided 15,553 rural health clinic visits as well as 4,734 emergency room visits. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs at below cost and to individuals who are unable to pay.
