Mission

Resource Media is unique: a nonprofit communications firm with a mission to drive social change. We seek advocates fighting for access to health, equity, justice and sustainability, and bring our own set of communications principles to all we do. We opened in 1998 focusing on conservation campaigns. As we built on early successes, we realized conservation causes are stronger when considered as part of a broader tapestry of issues. Today our staff is in 20 offices across the US and provide expert services to nonprofits, foundations, research institutions, government agencies, businesses and campaigns working to make the world a better place. We bring a commitment to equity and inclusion to our workplace and our partnerships and believe they are the backbone to hold lasting change together.

About

RESOURCE MEDIA WORKS ON MULTIPLE SCALES TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIES TO CONNECT AUDIENCES AROUND SHARED CONCERNS AND ULTIMATELY MOTIVATE THEM TO ACT; EITHER BY CHANGING BEHAVIOR OR CHANGING POLICY. OUR VISION IS TO DO THIS BY SURFACING COMMON VALUES, SHAPING AND CREATING ONLINE AND TRADITIONAL MEDIA CONTENT, CONDUCTING RESEARCH TO IMPROVE STRATEGY, AND CONVENING PARTNERS AROUND SHARED LEARNING. FROM ADVOCATES FOCUSED ON REIGNING IN FOSSIL-FUEL DEVELOPMENT TO ORGANIZATIONS RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT NITROGEN POLLUTION AND ALGAL BLOOMS, WE HELP A WIDE RANGE OF PARTNERS MAKE REAL IMPACT ON ISSUES THAT AFFECT COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE GLOBE.
