About

After engaging the top three employers in LA County the County itself with 100,000+ employees; LA Unified School District with its 90,000+ employees, and the City of Los Angeles with its nearly 50,000 employees; for a combined total of almost million people (employees) being engaged by their primary employers we turned the focus of USBloodDonors.org, as we successfully did in Utah, to the colleges and universities, continuing to build on the LA area database to firmly establish a beachhead from which to roll-out USBloodDonors.org across the U.S.Although we achieved an unheard of 80% positive response rate with a majority of university presidents giving us the thumbs up in the greater LA area, in all but a couple of cases, we ended up getting shuffled down into the bowels of the university bureaucracies, by underlings, with anemic results (pun intended). We now leverage our board members, particularly internationally-renowned entertainer and humanitarian, Pat Boone (our board chair), and influential Advisory Board members to engage influential CEOs, which has resulted in very high-profile and influential leaders (unnamed for this report) joining our cause. The most noteworthy and hopeful accomplishment of this past year was our documenting, using the math of a Nobel laureate, the potential that USBloodDonors.org has to significantly lower healthcare costs in the U.S. and, in time, communities throughout the world. This is done by engaging people through social media during emergency situations whether caused by natural disaster, episodic spikes in trauma-related events, terror-related events, or OTHER MEDICAL URGENCIES to be on standby to help a neighbor with needed lifesaving and/or life-improving donations, or, by getting the word out to others to so donate.
