About this organization
Mission
Friends of the Teton River (FTR) uses sound science and collaboration to protect and improve clean water, healthy streams and a thriving fishery in Teton Valley, Idaho and Wyoming. FTR implements community-driven restoration projects and education programs to benefit water resources in the Teton watershed.
About
Stream restoration: FTR's stream restoration program focuses on restoring & revegetating damaged stream channels & riparian areas, improving fish passage, & improving flow in tributary streams in the Teton watershed. Restoration work reduces flooding risk, restores functional floodplains, improves stream flows & water quality, & creates healthy habitat for fish, with a focus on threatened Yellowstone cutthroat trout.
