Mission

If we were able to bring together the entire community - agencies/organizations, businesses, places of worship, individuals, school faculty, union members and leaders, investors, all with the same mission - could we help students become successful, productive, engaged, healthy citizens? Based on what we’ve seen so far, the answer is yes. We aim to continue proving that, through use of our Connected Community School Model. What does the ideal Community School look like? Let’s picture it together: anything that a student or family or community member needs, they can find within the walls of their local school. Whether the service is physically housed there or found through the expertise of our site coordinators, the goal is to make those connections, and make them meaningful.

About

The Community Schools Program includes staff that coordinate services and resources to students of the Rome City School District and their families. The program also includes 5 mental health satellite offices 2 food pantries and an Adult Learning Center serving 4,400 students.
