The group is currently working on a strategic policy plan, scheduled for draft release at the end of 2019, focused on change in six key policy areas: education & workforce, health & human services, infrastructure, natural resources, justice & safety, and government performance.Core to the work of Texas 2036 is the use of data to inform planning and drive decision making. In October 2018, Texas 2036 launched a Data Platform, accessible at dataplatform.texas2036.org. The Data Platform offers a free, online repository of Texas-related data sources. The Data Platform allows users to visualize, manipulate, and download datasets from trusted sources that can educate Texans, drive informed policy development, and measure state success.
